About The National Park Store

Having lived in Romania, the Philippines, Pakistan, and now the US, it’s safe to say the travel bug is fully embedded in me. I’ve also been fortunate to live all over the US, including New York, San Francisco, Boston, Houston, Connecticut, Orlando, and now Portland.

While I love exploring new cities, the outdoors is my true paradise. At some point, exploring state and national parks became a passion. The beauty and wonder of nature remind us of a greater power and uplift our spirits when we’re feeling low.

The t-shirts originated from my personal passion for collecting fridge magnets from every city and park we visited. Over time, the magnets became cumbersome, so we switched to collecting Starbucks mugs—one for each state or city we visited (coffee is very important to us!). Then, I saw a friend wearing a t-shirt that said “I hiked the Grand Canyon”—and he really had. I loved that t-shirt and still think about it.

That sparked the idea of collecting t-shirts from various parks. Soon, friends wanted the same t-shirts, and this love for nature, parks, photography, and t-shirts evolved into what you see here. It’s an artistic expression of the places I love and have explored.
